COE Wins Award


The Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty was honored with the 2014 Dick and Tunky Riley WhatWorksSC Award for Excellence.  The Riley Institute at Furman, in partnership with South Carolina Future Minds, presented this prestigious award that recognizes outstanding educational initiatives throughout South Carolina.

Our NEW 2015 Summer Institute Event Website & Mobile App are now available!

This year, the 2015 Summer Institute hosted by the Francis Marion University Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty has created a custom website & mobile app designed to assist you in easily planning and getting the most out of this year's event!  It's full of easy to access information about each session & speaker, maps of the venues, and even color coded session categories to easily find the types of sessions you are most interested in.  The event website and mobile app are now available and are absolutely free to use and download.
